Beta testing of the new SiteSee Uploader has been completed successfully, and we would like to thank everyone for their valuable input. Based on the very positive feedback we received, we recently decided to take the new version out of the beta phase and to remove access to the old version. When you select ‘Upload’ in the SiteSee Web Portal menu, you should only see one button labelled ‘UPLOADER’. If you still see three buttons (UPLOADER, VALIDATOR, UPLOADERBETA), please perform a hard reload of your browser. Depending on which browser you are using, this is done by pressing either Crtl-F5 or Shift-F5.
The new version features a much simpler and more intuitive interface, and all files can now be uploaded in one easy step. The new Uploader recognises the image type (i.e. calibration flight, main run, final run) automatically and can handle redundant file names (e.g. if the image set is contained in two folders such as MEDIA100 and MEDIA101). For you this means that you can simply upload all files as generated by your drone on your SD card, without having to first extract and group them.
We have also updated our guide Uploading Images to reflect the changes we made, and we recommend that you familiarise yourself with the new Uploader before using it. Importantly, this guide includes instructions on how to do a simple preliminary image quality check which must be performed before uploading an image set.
If you have questions or suggestions how to further improve the Uploader, please contact SiteSee support.
