SiteSee reports the following measurement types:
- Equipment dimensions (e.g. antenna panel height, dish radius, etc.)
- Relative equipment position (e.g. distance from tower base to top, distance between two antenna panels, etc.)
- Equipment bearings relative to true north (true north equals 0 degrees)
- Equipment tilt relative to a horizontal plane (positive tilt angles are pointing down, negative angles are pointing up)
The error estimates reported in the table below are average values obtained from extensive tests comparing estimated measurements to lidar data or ground truths (where available). As the table shows, ground control points (GCPs) result in a significant improvement of measurement accuracy.
Average Error | With GCPs | Without GCPs |
Equipment Dimensions | 0.3% | 2.4% |
Relative Equipment Position | 0.1% | 2.9% |
Equipment Bearing | 0.8 degrees | 2.6 degrees |
Equipment Tilt | 0.9 degrees | 1.9 degrees |
